Core Rules

No Scamming, Ever

Taking money and not shipping, shipping fake items, or any form of fraud is an instant permanent ban. No appeals. No second chances. We have zero tolerance for scammers.

No Counterfeit Items

Selling fake or replica items is prohibited. If you're uncertain about authenticity, state it clearly in your listing. Intentionally misrepresenting items as authentic results in immediate ban.

Note: Fantasy pieces and obvious replicas can be sold if clearly labeled as such. No deception.

Respectful Communication

No harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeted abuse. Disagreements happen — handle them like adults. Repeated toxic behavior results in ban.

Critiquing listings, prices, or takes is fine. Personal attacks are not.

Listing Standards

Accurate Photos Required

Use your own photos. Show the actual item, all angles, any flaws or damage. Stock photos or borrowed images are not allowed unless explicitly stated.

Pro tip: Good lighting and clear photos sell items faster and build trust.

Honest Descriptions

Disclose all flaws, condition issues, alterations, or uncertainties. If something is damaged, say so. If you're not sure about authenticity or sizing, mention it. Transparency builds reputation.

Fair Pricing

Price your items how you want, but egregious price gouging or reselling at absurd markups hurts the community. The market will regulate itself — overpriced items won't sell and you'll get roasted in the forums.

Market rates exist for a reason. Know them.

Ship What You Sold

Once a transaction is agreed upon, ship the item promptly and as described. Provide tracking. Communicate delays. Failing to ship or sending different items is grounds for immediate ban.

Try to Resolve Directly

Communication issues happen. Message the other party, explain the problem, and attempt to work it out before escalating.

File a Report

If direct resolution fails, file a report with evidence (screenshots, tracking, receipts). Our team reviews all reports within 48 hours.

Moderation Decision

We review evidence from both sides. Decisions are based on facts, transaction history, and trust tiers. Outcomes range from warnings to refunds to bans.

Decision is Final

Moderation decisions are final. We don't have time for endless appeals or debates. If you get banned for scamming, you're done. No coming back.

Note: Frequent disputes, even if resolved in your favor, may affect your trust tier and reputation. Conduct business cleanly.

What Gets You Banned

Instant Permanent Ban

  • • Scamming (taking payment without shipping, shipping fakes as real)
  • • Multiple confirmed disputes for fraud
  • • Harassment, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse
  • • Ban evasion (creating new accounts after being banned)
  • • Brigading or coordinated attacks on other users

Warnings → Temp Ban → Permanent Ban

  • • Selling counterfeits without disclosure
  • • Misleading listings or bait-and-switch tactics
  • • Consistent failure to ship or respond to buyers
  • • Spamming, vote manipulation, or self-promotion abuse
  • • Repeatedly toxic or disrespectful behavior

We'd rather have a small, trusted community than a large one full of scammers. Act accordingly.

New Market exists to serve the archive community. We're not here to extract maximum profit or scale at all costs. We're here to provide infrastructure for collectors who are tired of being scammed.

That means strict rules, fair enforcement, and zero tolerance for bad actors. If you can't operate with integrity, you don't belong here.

Good actors are protected. Bad actors are removed. It's that simple.
